You know... Every day there is some drama with my chickens.... The night I went to go see Harry Potter, the chicken went under the shed, I was convinced she was dead, the neighbor had her, and my mom showed me her while I was getting out of the shower... Then the Roo is taken to attacking. Now all 4 of them have gone Broody. Nothing is stopping it and it is pissing me off.



Sip and knit was Awesome. Jo made Black and tans for all of us...



Carol had handspun and was working on that thing in Spin off that you have to look the pattern up on Knitty

Summary of weeks.

SO,

As you might have guessed. I am quite busy. I have about 3 jobs, work…. Well a lot so here is a summary of all it.

I have also been trying to spend time with mom. Because moms visit ends soon.

I spent one day of work drum carding some wool for Carol. I also got a great Cajun Sausage Muffaletta from Café Nooner.

Lovely little pigeons out side of work. I love the pigeons.

Interesting plant and view of the ocean.

Went to Blue lake for the folk life festival.

Natural Dye Day with Northcoast Knittery

I attended the Northcost knitterys Dye workshop with Linda Hartshorn. Linda is a local fiber artist who teaches weaving and natural dyeing. The workshop was held at Laura’s home which was perfect for this dyeing workshop.

I already knew a bit about Natural dyeing ( or dyeing from plants and animals) and have attended one of Linda's workshops previously.

The plant sources that we used were Fennel, Madder, Cochineal, Mungeet, Marigolds, and Logwood.
