So I got here

While I made it on the plane to Lima, and got through customs, and the hour before my flight I paid my domestic tax and went through security. OR shall I say “ tried” to go through security.

I was stopped for… Hold all your damn horses. Frelling knitting needles.

I know what your all going ot say. But I flew from Lima to Arequipa and back over summer with knitting needles with no problems! Clue if I went through LAX and Mexico City security with them not saying anything wtf?

I didn’t get rude or belligerent but I was pissed, as I had asked at the counter. Well I had to go pack to the counter and have them put my stuff in a plastic bag and tape it up ( would it get there?), go back and pay the tax. Oh and my zipper had broke on my rolly luggage in which I had my laptop that you HAVE to take out.


Needless to say this object of shame made it.

So I got here yesterday. It was nice to see Alfonzo, and his family has been very polite and understanding that I didn't learn Spanish. There wasn't enought time to learn that an O Chem.

Here you can see my view from my room. it is in Sabandia Distric this is more in the country then last time when I stayed at miguels. Alot of cows, chickens, sheep, horses and i think a donkey.

Which I slept most of the day. Then I had lunch with Alfonsos Family, which was a wonderful soup and a beef dish for a second. Alfonsos mom got me a stocking for the door is nice.

I slept for most of the rest of the day. Then went to buy ingredients for the making of panettone. We went to a store to buy candies and stuff. We then went to look at panettone boxes. Then desserts for dinner.

This morning I was woken up at 5 Am by the bright Sun.Wow who knew?

Everyone had stuff to do so I sat out side and knitted .The cook Lucemilla ( sp ?) was concerned I would burn because we all know I am translucent and kept trying to get me to sit in shade or wear a hat. Did I mention that I suck at Spanish? And everyone suggested I say stuff.Which really is the best way to learn and they are all being so patient.

So I went and sat in the shade and it was a wonderful day with warm weather and light breeze.

I am knitting a hat that it said to use 4 initially, then 6. Well I only have 6. So I am trying to make Wavy Feathers cap from the 2009 knit a day. With Alpaca and silk. I am going to yarn store on Monday YAY.

Alfonso was buying stuff and I was sitting in car, and saw a shop with WOOL! Cardedbatts of wool. I didn't see anything like this last time nad they were all in really bright colors.I really wanted to jump out of the car, but Alfonzo had told me it was shisty ( my word not his), soo we go back one day after Xmas when not so crowded.

Did I mention Alfonzo makes Panettones, and the air around the house smells like baking panettones? Here is a picture of the boxes and some panettones:

So...travel.

I Am in MEXICO. I don't like it.

I had to go to another terminal like 5 miles away and three people told me all different things about this and wheter or not I needed to go through Customs. I also had no Pesos. But I got some....

I took my O chem. Test at 8 15. Monday morning.

I then had to turn in my Graphic Design Project

This week updated. Fast.....

So, Ok, I know most of you didn’t go to College or that It was a long time ago. I also know that yes I have been in College along time, but you know what, every year it seems worse. It seems like the last week of school is Stress, Panic ( chickens), food, Treats, Stress, Driving, then Crazyness of XMAS.

I am trying to take my Final on Monday so I can go to Peru on Wednesday, I have to fly out of LAX, so that means a 14 hour drive, after a two hour Organic Chemistry Exam, and a Chicken critique.

Hmm, more, there is more. Monday and Tuesday I tired to wrap up chickens and projects. Wednesday I had a ceramics "Presentation"; Sherri and Steve came home with two new sheep. They are Icelandic.

Thursday I went to go take pictures of sheep, Louie (the llama had a stroke and needed to have a nice visit from the vet), This made me sad, and so I decided to put off pictures of the sheep ( my own, the ones above are Sherris pictures).



Bye Louie You were the most wonderful Llama, and I will Miss you.


Also found out I didn’t get TNNA intern or any award. Very very sad, but congrats to everyone who won, Ill stick to science and not fashion classes. All I know is dyeing, spinning, weaving, knitting and exotic fiber animals, I am sort of sad that I was the only one who knew about these things, Pipa is a knitter. But Erika did get stuck in Oregon for a bit, in Trishs own words "Erica is lonely and out of food in St. Helens so ANYONE that could go to the yarn factory please do. ":P. I have to admit, I could go with out food, but not scotch, ehn whatever.

So I was sad, and decided to get a cupcake .



Oh that was taken with my new cell phone. I haven't had one in like 5- 6 years, and it is only for pictures, and you know... things of an important nature.

Today worked on Graphic design… Lots and lots of cards, envelops and letterheads and I am still not happy with any of it. Organic Chemistry has filled up my nights. Oh and I got my Super Cool Sweat Shirt from my own logo.

Here is Zacks sculpture of me made out of packing tape. Cool hu? Lots of time. It is me, we wrapped me in plastic wrap and then packing tape, and it was cut off me. Lots and lots of time, but it is cool. Hope it gets in this years Sculpture walk.



Tomorrow there is a Craft Fair. Sherri is selling hats and I have some yarn but will be in the Library Studying the O chem!
