After a nice dinner we went to Spinner lead. We saw a group of people sorting a fleece

Here starts a plethora of interesting people with their animals…

Also Trish our lovely announcer from Tanglewood fibers.

Our Friend Marie Paul who is a member of CARS ( California Angora Rabbit Society).

Black Sheep Gathering - 1

So Black Sheep Gathering.

We Left Humboldt at 4Am….

We were trying to get there in time as our friends from southern California were showing at the CAGBA ( colored Angora Goat Breeders Association) national show.

The ride there was lovely as we saw sheep along the way

We got to the show and saw Allen from Eureka Mohair

This picture by mom

cute little bottle baby….

More of the Goat Show

hey thats Marie Paul!

Marie Knitting on her Shawl for Spinners Lead later that night!

Berets also made by Marie

Then some sheep…

Then mom and I decided to go look at fleece from the fleece show… Big mistake… Giant mistake…

WE looked at fleeces. There were a lot of awesome ones., but most of them weren’t for sale.

We decided on two Icelandic and walked outside where there was 35 or so people waiting…To get in and buy the fleeces, I had not bought one here, at most places I have been it is different. Someone mentioned those crazy bride dress sales, because this year there was only a third the number of fleeces there were last year.

There were twice as many behind us. I asked mom if she would bail me out of jail for smaking down a 50 year old lady for a fleece.

We got our fleeces…

We then went to the hotel and took the silkworms out of the box.

We then had dinner moms and mine.

AH! I m still here, barely.

So been MIA For a while I know.

I had gotten this Chicken from Orick ( click here to read about it). She was at Sherri house. Well the other chickens didn't like her ( sherries or mine), they tried to kill her, and I think she might have been a bit inbred because she sat there and just let them peck her to death and her mouth gapped open. I had tired everything I could so I wouldn't have to get rid of her, she wasn't laying any eggs after over a month and none of the other chickens liked her. I really wanted to paint and draw her but it looked like it wasn't going to work out. I had to take her back up to Orick.SO good bye to my little Fluffy Chicken.

Next item My Socks.I handspun my sock yarn, three ply and I am using 00 for the needles. I ribbed the whole first one, then decided maybe I have been making socks the wrong way. So I started to rib then went to Stockinette..... Hmmm...

Heel Yarn:
