Misti Alpaca YARN

WOW,

So I had received a note form Lisa ( Misti Alpaca) asking if I had gotten a box. Well I hadn’t I went to the post office, where I have a PO BOX, it had been here for 8 days, they just “forgot” (which they do a lot here ) to give me a slip.

WOW

There is a ton of yarn form Misti in here. These pictures aren’t so good, but I came home to write my lab reports that are due at 2pm. SO hopefully tonight after work I can take better pictures.

Collecting By Yourself

So last night I worked on ceramics Here is my owl teapot.

And my chickens.

This morning I was awoke by an earth quake but it was only big enough to wake me up.

I went out today to go collecting by myself. Of course I have an overactive imagination, I got lost a few times. It is so easy to get lost in the woods. And the soft moss on the ground and the towering trees made it eerie, esp. when all you can hear is your own foot steps.

No I am not dead

No I am not dead yet

Sorry lots of crazyness. I was studying all weekend for a O chem. Test which I got a C on. Which is ok.

I had my first mushroom lab on Tuesday at 8am. We went into the community forest and it was foggy and I forgot my camera. But Guess what I put in my pocket.( In case you don't know those are lichens. If you don't know what they are for you won't be excited.)

I also finished my sock, but the decrease was looking so nice but I ended up with a pointy toe.Notice I said sock, not socks.

This is also my Graphic design project that no one but me liked.Oh I did this all on the computer, and no I can't draw.

Here is a sketch for an ad …

In case you can't tell those are monkeys, but since my drawing was compared to a 5th grader, I am not saying what the ad is for until I am finished with it.

This morning when I was walking out the door I saw these on my mushroom log…

Those are little Oyster mushrooms, they are tasty, I hope there are some left for when mom comes up.

This weekend I am going to Big Lagoon for a mushroom Field trip, I wish I knew where my pocket knife is.

It can only get worse when.

You know the day is going to be bad when…. There is a dog barking for two hours, which might be ok had he not did it the day before. You go downstairs to the garage where you keep your frozen foods, you see said dog, who is know to not be friendly, you keep one eye on him and try to get the cranberries out of the freezer for your apple cinnamon pancakes and you can see him but you continue any way,.. You think you have reached the bad part of your day it gets better when talking to one of your teachers he thinks it might be a good idea if you drop the course even thought you really like the course. Your torn because you want to learn but now feel like maybe you should…

IT gets even worse when you decide to go grocery shopping because you haven’t gone all month and there is no more food, and individual creamers are starting to sound like dinner. So your almost half way through shopping you trip and you take off your handspun, handkinit, seems like lacey baby alpaca fingerless mittens, you shove them in the pocket of your hoodie.

You bag your groceries and load your car, you get in your car to look at your receipt. Your driving away you go to put on your fingerless mittens, oh there is only one!

Yeah apparently I you know… did something bad to incur the rath of bad karma. Which I can usually cope with just not when it is you know hand spun hand knit lacey alpaca that I wear on my hands

So hopefully the lone glove is really somewhere in ym car, or some kind person at the store finds it and turns it in and the peopel actually ready my note I left. If not it is giving me jsut antoehr reason to be pissy.

Sick, Socks and Squash

So yes I know it has been a while since I posted. I had a dreadful cold followed by three days of miserableness…. So I have been knitting on socks, working on chickens, oh and learning that terror of terror Organic Chemistry. Oh did I mention there was about 8-12 hours over the span of three-days in which I worked on Graphic Design. This leading me to a have a headache over those three days and for a day after. No one in the class even noticed after all my work. It was nice.

Then I also had a critique on chickens. My ceramic ones to be precise. Well this lasted for two days and I took it upon my self to knit during this critique. Well, it was brought to my attention by another knitter no doubt today ( during the second part of the critique) that this might have been disrespectful. Ok if were talking for two and a half hours about only eight peoples art, this will happen esp when it is right there in my bag.

Well I know I messed up my decrease...

I have a big weight on my mind, so I think I haven’t been blogging so much. This is mainly a fiber blog, but I have been known to get off topic.

Here are some pictures from the farmers market. Fall is here, and hopefully I can get out for some
mushrooming soon.

Some cows I saw the other day

If you have a polish chicken like this in your home, and live near me let me know.

Everyone else say a prayer for me that I don’t go nutty soon. And if you have cookies or cupcakes feel freel to drop by.
